Yifan Gu

PhD Candidate

Yifan Gu is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. He earned his BS from Mines in May 2021. He is from Henan, China. Yifan works on the ARPA-E REEACH project. The goal of the REEACH program to design and build systems to convert the chemical energy contained in liquid fuels into electric power for aircraft propulsion. His work will focus on developing a hybrid solid oxide fuel cell turbogenerator for aircraft. In his free time, Gu enjoys basketball, hiking, and swimming.
